How to Board Passengers in Bumpy Flight

Guide Bumpy Flight passengers from the waiting area to seats, recover stuck followers, and divide boarding work across a crew.

Passenger boarding in Bumpy Flight is a route-following task, not a race to press every interaction. The official experience description lists passenger preparation as part of getting the aircraft ready. Current community walkthroughs describe interacting with a waiting passenger, guiding that passenger into the plane, and using a seat interaction to finish. Your server’s objective and on-screen prompts remain the authority during beta.

Reliable method: claim one passenger, take a straight walking path, avoid jumps and sharp reversals, interact with the intended seat, and confirm the objective changes before taking another passenger.

Read the boarding objective first

Do not copy a passenger count from another player’s run. Walkthrough examples may show a certain number, but the requested count can depend on the current session or change in an update. Read the visible preparation list and count only confirmed completions.

Find the waiting area, aircraft entrance, aisle, and available seats before you interact. Clearing this route prevents a follower from catching on another player or turning around because you changed direction. If a crew is present, assign boarding to one or two people while someone else handles luggage and fuel.

Claim one passenger clearly

Approach a waiting passenger and use the prompt displayed by the current Roblox client. Community guides describe a visible trail or follow behavior after the interaction. Pause for a moment to confirm that the passenger has attached to your route before walking away.

Tell the crew which passenger you are taking. Another player should select a different passenger rather than interacting with yours. Two players crossing paths with followers can create an avoidable tangle at the entrance.

The official page does not publish universal keyboard, mobile, or controller interaction keys for boarding. Follow the button label on your own device.

Walk a clean path to the aircraft

Use a direct route with normal walking speed. A current walkthrough specifically advises walking straight and avoiding jumping or backtracking when a follower struggles. Make turns wide enough for the passenger to follow. Stop briefly at narrow doors instead of spinning the camera and changing direction several times.

Do not depend on clipping through the rear fuselage or another geometry shortcut, even if a current guide demonstrates one. That behavior is community-reported and patchable. The ordinary entrance and aisle are the reliable long-term route.

If other crew members are carrying luggage, agree on separate traffic lanes. Let the passenger guide enter first at a narrow door, then let the cargo runner pass. A few seconds of ordering is faster than resetting a stuck follower.

Assign the seat and verify completion

Move beside an available seat and use the seat prompt. Stay until the passenger changes state, the objective count advances, or another visible confirmation appears. Walking away immediately can hide a failed interaction.

If the seat does not accept the passenger, check whether another player already reserved it, whether you lost the follower, or whether you are standing on the wrong interaction side. Step away, line up with the prompt, and retry once. Then choose a clearly available seat if the game allows it.

Avoid filling the cockpit walkway or repair access first if you have a choice. Keeping movement areas clear helps cabin care and emergency response later. This is a crew-planning recommendation, not a confirmed scoring mechanic.

Recover a stuck passenger

First stop moving. Look back along the route and return by the simplest path. Do not jump repeatedly or run in circles; that makes it harder to tell whether following resumed. Re-enter the interaction range and use any current prompt if the game presents one.

If the passenger remains stuck, another player should not immediately pile onto the same interaction. Let the original guide retry from a clear angle. If the passenger resets to the waiting area, begin again along the normal route. When the objective is clearly bugged for the whole server, finishing other preparation tasks or changing servers is more productive than inventing an invisible requirement.

Because Bumpy Flight is labeled beta, interaction failures may change between updates. Report a reproducible bug through the game’s official community links rather than treating it as a secret boarding rule.

Split boarding in co-op

With two players, the support player boards passengers while the pilot or second player handles fuel and luggage, then both confirm the checklist. With three players, make boarding the cabin player’s permanent ground task. With four players, a second guide can take a different passenger, but the team should use the same entrance direction and separate seats.

Use short confirmations such as “PAX 1 seated” or “boarding complete.” The pilot should not take off on an assumption. The live objective should show that the requested work is done.

Prepare passengers for the rest of the flight

Boarding is also your chance to learn the cabin. Notice the refrigerator or basic food area, the supply order terminal described by current walkthroughs, and the route from every seat to those stations. That knowledge matters when food, water, medicine, or another passenger prompt appears after takeoff.

Once the passengers are seated, avoid repeatedly interacting with them without a request. Finish the other ground objectives and let the pilot begin only after the crew confirms fuel, luggage, and boarding.

Common boarding mistakes

  • Using a fixed count from a guide: follow the current objective instead.
  • Taking sharp turns: walk a wider, straighter route.
  • Jumping through the doorway: use normal movement when guiding a follower.
  • Leaving the seat too early: wait for visible confirmation.
  • Two players claiming one passenger: announce ownership and choose separate targets.
  • Relying on a clipping shortcut: beta geometry exploits can disappear in any patch.

Frequently asked questions

How many passengers must I board?

No permanent first-party count is published. Use the visible objective in your current run rather than a walkthrough example.

Why did my passenger stop following?

Sharp movement, route obstruction, or a beta interaction issue may be involved. Stop, return by a direct path, and retry the current prompt.

Can two friends board at the same time?

Yes when each player clearly claims a different passenger and the route is not crowded. Confirm every seat separately.
